Setting up app locking

Psalmlock uses Apple's Screen Time to lock the apps you choose. In the app, tap "Set Up Screen Time", approve the system prompt, and choose the apps to lock. If the prompt doesn't appear or Screen Time doesn't turn on, check that Screen Time is on in the Settings app, that your iPhone has a passcode, and that you are signed in to iCloud, then try again.

How unlocking and relock work

Your chosen apps stay locked during the lock hours you set until you finish today's reading and prayer. If relock is on (Settings tab: Off, 15, 30, or 60 minutes), the apps lock again after that much use within your lock hours, and one more verse opens them. A new day starts at 3:00 AM.

Free trial and subscriptions

The yearly subscription includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

To cancel or change your subscription, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Apple handles all payments and refunds; you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Restoring a purchase

On a new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account and tap "Restore Purchases" in the app's Settings tab or on the subscription screen.

Privacy

Your Screen Time data stays on your iPhone, and we never see which apps you use. Read the Privacy Policy.
